David E. Walsh, Senior Planning Associate – David Walsh brings to Schultz & Williams a broad range of expertise in strategic business planning, marketing and new venture development. He built his skills through a successful career in both the corporate and entrepreneurial worlds, becoming proficient in business management issues, finance, marketing and the creation and launching of new programs and products.

His work with nonprofit clients of all sizes helps establish clear and concise missions, generate new revenue streams, strengthen board management and create stronger, more sustainable organizations. David provides strategic business counsel to a wide array of S&W cultural and visitor attractions, service organizations and zoological institutions, including Scholarship America (MN); Southern Good Faith Foundation (Little Rock); Battleship New Jersey (Camden); Waldron Mercy Academy (PA); Children’s Crisis Treatment Center, University City District, Fairmount Park Conservancy and Woodmere Art Museum (all in Philadelphia).

David’s recent S&W projects include a comprehensive business plan for Health Literacy Missouri; an environmental market scan as part of a larger strategic planning process for Presbyterian Children’s Village (PA); and a feasibility study for the Boys & Girls Club of Philadelphia. His strategic planning clients include The Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership (Washington, DC), ARCH Development Corporation (Washington, DC) and Prince George’s African American Museum and Cultural Center (Brentwood, MD). David has worked with more than 35 zoological institutions, including these S&W clients: Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, Great Plains Zoo (SD), Potawatomi Zoo (South Bend, IN), Naples Zoo (FL), Oregon Zoo and Seneca Park Zoo (NY).

Prior to joining S&W, David launched a successful family travel business, which he built from scratch into a company serving thousands of customers nationwide. He also operated his own consulting company to assist clients in managing the new product and business development process. His corporate experience includes careers at both PECO Energy and Verizon Communications. David has a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Scranton. He lives in Havertown, PA with his wife, Liz, and their four children.
